Hi, I'm Daphne. I'm a mom of 7 - I know it's hard to believe as I am still so young myself! I was surrendered to pause4change as one of 16 dogs living on a rural property in not the best conditions. I gave birth just 2 days after I moved to my foster home - good timing or what!
I have so many great qualities and I've heard that you couldn't ask for a better dog! I am very sweet and gentle. I get attached to people, but can you blame me? I am starting to understand that life is good now and will always be this way. I don't have to worry and my person will be coming back.
Abigail is a sweet lil fluffy pup with beautiful markings and a mellow personality. She is definitely a puppy who will steal your heart!
Abigail loves the snow and outdoors and needs to be convinced to come indoors. She loves running free in her foster home's large yard - she would love an active outdoors family.
She is getting used to over night crate training, and mostly sleeping through the night.
She is working on walking on leash - at the moment she is a little unsure but will no doubt become more comfortable with practice.
Olaf is an old soul, a little old man in a puppy body! He is one of the sweetest pups you will ever meet. His markings are spectacular and give him a look of being worried and concerned - but this guy is so chilled out, he doesn't have a worry in the world!
Olaf loves to cuddle and is a real people puppy. He will put his paws up on the chair which is his way of asking to come up for a snuggle. He currently lives with his real life brother Tyson & 2 foster sisters. His confidence has been growing and he has started taking little adventures on his own and playing outdoors. He is now sleeping through the night and starting to ask at the door when he needs the bathroom. He knows his "sit" and sure knows it's the best way to get what he wants when it is dinner time or treat time!
Olaf would make a great addition to any family. This is one of the sweetest souls you will ever meet. Whoever adds Olaf to their family will be very lucky.
Tyson is such a little cutie and getting cuter every day! He has fuzzy, fluffy fur and is delicate and lightweight. Don't let that fool you though, he likes to play hard!
He has an innocent look and will melt your heart. Tyson currently lives with his real life brother Olaf and 2 foster sisters. He prefers to play and hang out with his 8 month foster sis, but when he wants to he will come and snuggle with his people.
He knows his "sit" and is working on not barking to make his demands!
Tyson would do well in a family with another dog buddy to play with. If you are looking for a super cute, real life teddy bear then Tyson is your guy!
Bovi is a very handsome little guy. He is pretty laid back and loves all kinds of snuggles and cuddles. He is going to daycare to improve his alone training and to meet all sorts of dogs from big to small. Bovi loves his humans and interacts appropriately with the cat in his foster family. His house training is going great and he sleeps through the nights without any accidents. Bovi is very smart and loves to learn new things. He slowly investigates everything in his surroundings. Bovi will make a great companion for his forever home!
Hi, mom of 4 Louise here! I was rescued from a rural acreage along with Daphne and surrendered to pause4change.
I'm super sweet and a very happy gal and I love to go for walks. I am house trained and know my basic commands - sit, lay down and come. I still worry a bit about strange noises and I want to protect my puppies! So sometimes I will bark when I hear things I am not sure about. I am making good progress on being calm though!
I'm good with other dogs, cats and kids. I just spent Christmas with my foster family - they have another dog and a cat and 2 older kids. They had lots of visitors though so the house was filled with 7 dogs, a cat, 4 adults and 6 kids. I did great even with all the things going on!
Sage is a rock star! She is already sleeping through the night - she sleeps in her crate but loves to come for cuddles on the bed in the morning with the rest of the gang. She is content playing by herself or with one of her many dog & cat foster siblings. She does like to play hard and can get sassy if she is losing a play fight! She is working on her potty training but understands about using pee pads. Her current schedule (at approx 6 weeks old) is to play for 20 minutes and sleep for 2 hours.
Does this little rockstar sound like a good addition to your family? Apply to adopt Sage today!
Bob comes to Pause4Change as an owner surrender and is about 3.5 years old. He is a large shepherd mix (likely malamute or other large northern breed). He is great with other dogs with the proper introductions. He is crate and house trained, very well socialized, has been exposed to cats and is very food motivated; making training much easier. Bob can be timid around strangers and new situations but with a confident handler that helps him through those situations he makes lots of improvement. Bob likes going for car rides, jumping in and settling quickly. Bob can be seen patiently waiting at the door or window, watching for his people to return home. He tends to open up more to women than men, but with consistency and a gentle, trusting hand he can learn to love. Once Bob is comfortable his real personality begins to shine. He can be quite the talker when he gets excited or wants something like food. He will require consistent work with a confident and patient handler who can help him overcome his fears. A calm environment with and active family, maybe with another more confident canine friend, would be suit him best. If you would like to add Bob to your family, apply to adopt Bob today!
Penny is a St Bernard who came to us as an owner surrender. She loves long walks and is thrilled with our winter weather! Penny is great with people but would do best in a home with no other dogs and kids over 12 as she’s a big girl and doesn’t understand her own strength. No kitties for the same reason. Penny would love her own human who also loves outdoor adventuring and the love of a big affectionate puppy. Penny has also been great around horses!
Akira is a wonderful very energetic dog. She loves to run! She is around 2 years old but she plays like a puppy, yet she will not jump on you. She loves people, especially kids. Friendly with other dogs but needs time to adjust. She is great walking on leash and is continuing to work on her basic manners.
