Hi! I'm Charcoal and my life is kinda crazy. I'm the longest resident ever at pause4change. I've been here since January 17, 2021.
Furever reflections took some photos of me the other day to help show you what a treat I'd be! I mean come on just look at my Halloween themed photos!
I've been practicing my whole life on learning how to become a good family dog so I can get adopted. I'm house trained, crate trained and my recall is pretty good if I do say so myself. I've even practiced being an office dog by keeping my current foster dad company during his zoom calls.
So far, my life has been pretty unique and I'm definitely ready to settle down! I had to overcome distemper as a puppy and be Isolated from all my other dog friends. I only got to see a few people and couldn't go out and explore the world!
Now I'm so excited to see other dogs I just bounce for joy. On the other hand, sometimes new people and new environments scare me. My foster family says I need someone patient and empathetic who will take the time to show me the world isn't so scary.
I just LOVE being outside, camping, going on long walks, and running. I'm kinda a big dufus with a goofy personality and have a ton of love to share. I just need to find my person.
I would love nothing more than to become your best bud, whether it’s outside or on the couch watching the game or a movie.
It would be such a treat to find my person. Are you my furever family?

Torvi is a feisty little Viking with a sweet side. She is a confident, energetic little pup that doesn't get phased by much. She loves brain games and using her nose. Torvi would much rather play than snuggle unless she is tired. She prefers cooler climates and is food motivated. She has been exposed to kids, cats, and other dogs. The perfect family for her would be active as Torvi likes to keep busy, another dog to play with would be nice but this isn't a necessity.

Kindra has been the sweetest mumma any pup could ask for. She has taken great pride in raising her puppies and now it is her time to find a family of her own. Kindra is about 18 months and 21kg. She is gentle soul who loves to play by herself or with someone. She loves being outside and sunning herself or splashing around in the kiddie pool. Kindra loves people and other dogs. She is still learning manners but she is toilet trained. She loves to snuggle and get pats. Kindra would need a moderately active family who could spend time with her indoors and out and show her all the love in the world. Another dog would be a bonus. Kindra has been exposed to kids, cats and other dogs.
Bear is a sweet and awkward pup who is still figuring out the world. He loves to be outside playing with other pups or taking a stroll through the neighbourhood. Bear is a very curious boy which sometimes leads to mischief so keeping him busy is a must. Give him a frozen Kong or bone and he’ll be busy for hours! He is highly food motivated which makes teaching him new tricks easy.
He will need a structured and active home with the time and patience to continue training. He’s good with people and dogs but he is working through certain triggers around food and his space.
Bear has a rough play style and is still learning to take cues from other dogs but is super friendly when meeting new people. He’s always looking for more dog friends to play with and has so much puppy love left to give!

Hello my name is Adidas I am a fun loving and caring puppy who loves belly rubs and cuddles. I am very quiet and well behaved, my foster parents have helped me learn to poop and pee outside and sit and shake a paw even!! I love kids and larger dogs to play with and love to run. Not a fan of cats and learning appropriate play with smaller dogs so most suitable home with be with no cats or small dogs. Adidas is doing well with crate training. Adidas loves adventures so a outdoor family with energy is best suited for him!

Bear is a shy girl who has so much love to give. In the right home she will be your shadow, a huge cuddle bug and your new BFF. She learns quick and adapted to house life seamlessly. She crates well, is housetrained and will settle behind a gate or barrier with some practice. She has loved every dog she’s met so far and was nonchalant about cats. She lives happily with a 1 and a 3 yr old but it took some time and slow, positive, supervised interactions. Bear is still learning that strangers aren’t going to hurt her, that car rides aren’t scary (especially as a front seat co-pilot) and that no one will leave her out in the cold ever again. She loves toys and will play fetch or tug as much as you want. She stays close on a walk and doesn’t pull on leash. To open your home to Bear and win her heart will bring so much warmth and joy to the right family.

- probably the gentlest foster I've had , amazingly sweet personality
- barks at doorbell or people walking in
- I'd say halfway used to kennel , some whining still but mostly sleeps through the night
- zero accidents since she's been here
- at home would rather sleep at your feet than anything else
- quick learner , food motivated but not obsessed
-tolerates nail trims with a holder
- still nervous in the car but more car rides are making it get better by the day
- very good with dogs, playful but not pushy
-working on no jumping
- 5 stars with kids, hasn't jumped on my kid and is very very gentle and loving

I am a sweet boy and I love to give kisses and cuddles. I am learning to play tug of war and wrestle with my foster dad and foster siblings. I am really good at playing on my own, and love to hunker down with a good chew or a bone, and I love my tipsy Kong! I am a real softie and want to be with you and I will sleep next to you while you work. I am fully house trained and working on respecting my boundaries and kennel training. I am definitely treat and food motivated, and I adore being praised for learning a new trick! I will be the first to greet you when you come into a room, and love it when we play together and hang out in the yard. My Foster dad says that whoever adopts me is going to get the greatest cuddle buddy.

Moose is a sweet happy boy, who loves to be around people, and will offer the best cuddles. Moose is a smart puppy who is doing really well with his house training. He puts himself in his crate when he is ready for bed at night, and sleeps through the whole night. Moose plays with his older foster brothers, and respects them when they want to be left alone. He entertains himself with a good chew toy or kong. Moose would love a family who wants to have fun together and help him learn how to be the best dog he can be.
