Our Available Dogs
Stevie is around 3 years old, medium size with a medium energy level.
Stevie will need a confident and experienced guardian to help her continue to work on some strong emotions she has towards the smaller critters she encounters on walks like squirrels & rabbits. Keeping her safety in mind, she will also need a home with a secure backyard and is not a suitable candidate for any type of off-leash lifestyle with the exception of fully fenced in off-leash parks.
She will take some time to settle into her new home and routine with you but will adjust. She is an absolute lover of humans and does enjoy playing with other dogs after appropriate introductions. She did well with cats she met in her whelping home. She has had limited exposure to kids while in our care, but aside from possibly knocking them over in excitement, feel she would do just fine.
She is sensitive to loud noises so would do best in a more calm home environment and will require a home where her family is home more often then not as she struggles with some separation anxiety.
Stevie is an absolute sweetheart and as a thank you for your patience as she continues to learn to be a family pet, she promises to express her love for you with an endless amount of kisses & cuddles!
Her two favourite things are belly rubs and walks. She enjoys the company of cats and is playful with other dogs. She has had no exposure to kids in our care but since she startles with loud noises and quick movement’s, we feel she would not be suited for a house with young children.
Rory is currently working on her alone time & crate training, it is important that her new family has the time and dedication to continue working with her on this. She is a bit of an escape artist so a secure backyard is a must, she does well with the extra security of a long lead outside.
Considering Rory was feral before coming to us and free to explore outside on her own, she does exceptionally well on leashed walks - no pulling! She is smart, good at listening, and picks up on new cues quickly. Rory is house trained although prefers to do her business while on walks. She is quiet…for a husky but will on occasion let out a howl outside.
Rory thrives off daily walks and mental enrichment (Have you checked out the Canine Enrichment page on facebook? If not, you should!). She is a sweet & gentle girl ready for her new life as a loved family pet!
Her ideal home would be a relatively quiet one, with a family that is home more often than not, a lover of the outdoors just like her and possibly has another dog!
Charcoal is approximately 6 months old. When he was rescued he was approximately 3 months old and had distemper which he is now fully recovered from with no lingering issues. He has been quarantined so he is unsure of new people and things. He will need help meeting new people to understand they won't hurt him. He loves to play fetch, be outside and enjoyed going camping. Charcoal does well with crate training but does not have any issues / is not destructive when not crated and left alone. Charcoal is currently still teething so he is mouthy. His foster family feels once he is able to get out for daily walks that this will not be so prevalent. As Charcoal is not yet fully vaccinated he has had limited experience with leash walking and walking in public. He has been doing well on leash so far though, but does bark when he sees other dogs.
Charcoal will need a home that has experience with fearful dogs and we are recommending no other pets at this time. Since Charcoal is very nervous meeting new people, he will require potential adopters to be patient and accepting that he will need several visits before transitioning to his new home. He is a sweet boy and with the right family and some additional training he will make a good family addition.

Meet CHARLIE!! a.k.a Charlie Davidson (his foster family lovingly gave him this nickname because of the cute noises he makes while playing)!
Charlie is a healthy, happy and energetic senior boy. He enjoys playing with his foster brother Spud and can really bounce and run. So far we have learned that he really loves naps on the couch, belly rubs and having his beautiful coat brushed. Charlie is gentle and we'll mannered, patient with younger dogs and children providing they respect his space but has been known to chase a cat or two. He would be best suited for a more laid back lifestyle, he enjoys walks and is an angel on leash.
Charlie is on daily anti-seizure medications but his previous family said that they haven't seen him have a seizure in years.
Charlie is looking for stable home that will shower him in the love he deserves. One look into his big brown eyes and you'll be in love just like we are!
