Hi my name is Sadie. I am 8 years young, I am about 18lbs and the size of a Jack Russell Terrier, the vet thinks I am a chihuahua mix. My foster says I am super sweet and the most cuddly girl ever. My favourite times of the day are getting morning snuggles and belly rubs, breakfast, morning play time, sun tanning when it's warm, my afternoon walk, dinner and evening cuddles. I have good manners and I am fully housetrained, and really only bark only to alert you when someone is at the door and when guarding my yard from squirrels or cats. I love going for walks and really like going to off leash parks. I have arthritis on my front left shoulder and back left knee but I do not let that stop me from enjoying my walks or runs and the vet says I am very healthy. My foster agrees that my perfect furever home would be an individual or couple that likes a relaxed lifestyle with routines and has NO cats (I don’t like them), young dogs (I am okay around dogs but would prefer to be the main attraction), or young children (I am unsure of them). You would have lots of time to cuddle, give me belly rubs, go for walks, play and let me give you kisses, love and loyalty in return. I hope to meet you soon. x Sadie
Stevie is around 3 years old, medium size with a medium energy level.
She is being fostered with 2 cats and 2 other dogs. She does well with them all, playing when appropriate and being respectful and avoiding those who have no interest in playing with her.
She is good with all people and children.
Her favourite things are her stuffies, car rides and learning to cuddle.
Stevie is still learning to be a family pet. This means she is unsure of new things and sounds. Her foster home has been working hard with her, helping her learn and understand new things and to know they won't hurt her.
If startled, Stevie may still pee in fear. Her new family will need to be patient and gentle with her to help her continue her learning and build her confidence in a safe and gentle manner.
She does well with crate training but does not have any issues / is not destructive when not crated.
As Stevie is not yet fully vaccinated she has limited experience with leash walking and walking in public. She has been doing well on leash so far though, but does howl/bark when she sees other dogs.
If you would like to help this sweet girl continue on her path and are committed to continuing with training, please complete an adoption application!
Lionel is nearly 10 weeks old! He is a brave and inquisitive young puppy that interacts well with his foster (dog) siblings, adults, and kids. He loves to play, follow you around the house, and join you on the couch for a snuggle! As he is highly food motivated he has been very responsive to treat based training so his puppy manners are coming along well! Lionel is working hard on his crate training skills as well as gaining practice wearing his collar and harness. Due to his friendly nature and young age he's also working through his separation anxiety and will need lots of love, patience, and support as he makes his transition towards adult dog independence! He has shown a very positive response toward baths, nail maintenance and brushing, and would make an excellent spa day companion Due to his mixed breed nature his size and coat type cannot be estimated, although it is evident you will sign up for a lifetime of unconditional love, loyalty, and puppy kisses with your new best friend!
Charcoal is approximately 5 months old. When he was rescued he was approximately 3 months old and had distemper which he is now fully recovered from with no lingering issues. He has been quarantined so he is unsure of new people and things. He will need help meeting new people to understand they won't hurt him. He loves to play fetch, be outside and enjoyed going camping. Charcoal does well with crate training but does not have any issues / is not destructive when not crated and left alone. Charcoal is currently still teething so he is mouthy. His foster family feels once he is able to get out for daily walks that this will not be so prevalent. As Charcoal is not yet fully vaccinated he has had limited experience with leash walking and walking in public. He has been doing well on leash so far though, but does bark when he sees other dogs. With continued training Charcoal will be a loyal family pet. Please complete an adoption application!
Hi! I'm Jagger! With a name like that you may be wonder if I've also got the moves like Jagger and you can bet I do. I am a silly dude that loves to play with my toys and other dogs! I can even wrestles with the big guys with no fear. At just 9 weeks old I am already starting to ask to go outside to go potty. I'm still learning but I've made a lot of progress. I am doing awesome with my crate training and settle very quickly. I love me a good nap and its that much better when it's paired with a good cuddle with my humans. I would love a brother or sister but I also am great at keeping myself entertained. I haven't been around kids or cats yet but my foster mom thinks I would do just fine with some boundaries put in place to help me learn how to interact appropriately. Overall, I'm a pretty easygoing guy and I can't wait for my perfect family to come along!
Tina should be named Sweetie, she is quiet and learns quickly. Only two accidents when she first came to her foster home because foster mom couldn't read her cues. Now she has been accident free and even sat in front of foster mom and barked to let her know she needed to go outside 'right now!'. She loves her dog bed and goes to her kennel for most of her mid day naps. She has almost mastered 'sit' and is working on 'down' now.
